Dr. Learman graduated from Midwestern University, Chicago in 2016 where she earned Recognition for Excellence in Patient Care. 

Always making continued education a priority, Dr. Sydney continues to expand her knowledge in crown, bridge and implant dentistry. She loves learning new ways implants can help assist the edentulous patient; restoring their form and function.

 In August of 2025, she completed the third level of a comprehensive dentistry program called OBI, Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry in Denver, Colorado. Bioesthetic Dentistry is a process that includes comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning in order to obtain a healthy, highly functional, unworn chewing system that provides natural beauty and tooth form. Utilizing splint therapy, this training allows Dr. Sydney to help patients combat TMJ pain and diagnose causes of chewing system disharmony, like tooth wear. This provides an accurate diagnosis for patients seeking full mouth rehabilitative treatment.

Early in her career, she was able to work alongside a pediatric dentist and continues to keep up on the latest trends in pediatric dentistry.

As a past spokesperson for the American Heart Association, she is continuously learning about the role dentists can play in treating sleep disorders that ultimately affect a patient’s cardiovascular health. 

She’s been an advocate for community involvement and leadership since her early years and takes great pride in bringing those values into her practice. She believes in treating patients like family, being direct and honest, and working hard to deliver current, state-of-the art care. She credits her favorite mentor for this, her father.

Dr. Learman brings over 40 years of dental expertise to the team. After dynamic roles shifted, he officially joined his daughter, Dr. Sydney Learman, at her private general and cosmetic practice in 2026—a practice he previously owned from 2010 to 2023, and where she served as his associate for eight years.

A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Dr. Learman is deeply committed to lifelong learning, having completed over 700 hours of continuing education. In 2005, he earned his credential as a certified Bioesthetic Dentist through the OBI Foundation. His true passion lies in full-mouth comprehensive cosmetic cases, and his exceptional work was even featured in the textbook The Function of Teeth by Lundeen and Gibbs.

Outside the office, he loves escaping to his property in Hale, Michigan, to hunt, fish, and perfect his golf game. He is thrilled to be working alongside his daughter again and supporting her as she grows and expands her practice.

Lydia Dewald
Registered Dental Hygienist 

Lydia graduated from Delta College in 2009 with her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was a Dental Assistant for six years before getting her Registered Dental Hygiene license. She is a proud wife and mother of two.

Kim Ford
Financial and Treatment Coordinator
Registered Dental Assistant

With 38 years of experience as a dental assistant, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice. She became a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in North Carolina and holds her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification from Delta College’s Dental Assisting Program. Outside of the office, Kim is an avid hunter and enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Ka’la has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 2018 and completed her Registered Dental Assisting license in 2025. When she is not working or assisting she is always enjoying the outdoors with her family.

Allison Hauk
Registered Dental Hygienist

Allison is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing since 2015. She began her dental journey as a Registered and Certified Dental Assistant. She has used her education from both perspectives to help build a rapport with patients and educate them based on their specific needs. Allison spends her free time with her family and friends.

 Stacy attended Delta College’s Dental Assisting Program and has been assisting for 30 years. When she isn’t working, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time at home with her family.
